My work in Kosovo

I am one of the co-founders of The Ideas Partnership charitable NGO, which empowers and supports people in need in Kosovo in the fields of education, health and social welfare, and works on cultural heritage and protection of the environment, promoting a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy.

We help people in need;

we help people in need to help themselves; and

we help people in need to help others in need

In 2017, for my work with The Ideas Partnership I was chosen by Prime Minister Theresa May as one of the 'Points of Light' for volunteering around the world. We also won an EU prize for Roma Integration.

You can read some of what's been written about The ideas Partnership's work by others here, and about the visit of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to our centre in Fushe Kosove.

At the invitation of the Caritas charity I talk here about the importance of our work in early childhood education.

Get in touch through Facebook or by email (office@theideaspartnership.org) if you're interested in volunteering with us or offering other support.

I am also the owner of the prize-winning social enterprise, Sapune. This initiative supports excluded and rural women making tote bags and other handcrafts incorporating silver filigree into cards, purses, and bookmarks. There is more on our Facebook page or you can contact sapune.ks@theideaspartnership.org

In summer 2019 I received a Kosovo Changemaker award for the work of Sapune, and this short interview with me (Albanian with English subtitles) was recorded by FIQ-FIC who gave Sapune an award for our approach to philanthropy
